The staff and room were both excellent. The food in the bar was great pub food and well priced. Warm and friendly village pub with exceptional rooms at a bargain price

Nice welcome upon check-in. Room was clean and bed was extremely comfy. Didn't eat on this occasion but had drinks with friends on the bar area. Service was good and staff really pleasant.

Lovely room. Clean and warm on arrival. Check in was easy and staff friendly and welcoming. Very handy to have the pub on site so we could have dinner and a drink after a long drive. The pub was lovely, warm and cosy with the fire on and lovely christmas decorations.

You just cant beat a good authentic pub decor, atmosphere , amazing curry night with friendly helpful staff made for a great evening. Definatley recommend as a place to stay, food or even just a night out with a few drinks.

Stayed just one night for work. It was busy in the bar when I arrived but the lady working welcomed me and got to me quickly, very pleasant welcome. Room was simple, bright and airy - most notable it was absolutely spotless, literally not a speck of dust anywhere, particularly (and perhaps most importantly) the bathroom. Due to come back the area several times a year so will make a point of booking this next time.

The rooms are really nice, comfortable and a good price. Breakfast was really good. The bar and restaurant area is very tired needs new carpets and redecorating to bring some life back into it. Some wall paper hanging off around the walls

Went for lunch on Saturday 24th August. We had booked a table for 8 people at 13.30hrs. The food was great as usual no complaints from anyone. We have been regular visitors to the Red Lion since 1999. We have never found anything wrong on our previous regular visits.
Sorry to say this time we have to comment .It was Bank holiday weekend there was one very pleasant lady on the bar trying her best to do everything & one lady who it appeared to be her first day so couldn't do anything.Has a result tables were not being cleared glasses not collected. So service was badly let down. Who ever did the rota for that very busy day must be accountable.
NOT THE FULL TIME MEMBER OF STAFF SHE WAS TRYING HER VERY BEST.
We will be returning in the very near future & hope this was a genuine mistake by management.

Love this place, my family stayed in 2 rooms and absolutely loved it, had dinner that night, very accommodating getting us large table, an food and service was brilliant

Decided to stay at the Red Lion as we were visiting family
From start to finish was an absolutely amazing stay !!
We were checked in by a young lady called Lydia who was extremely polite and explained everything needed before our stay.
Rooms were stunning, clean an well stocked, located at the back of the pub, very cosy.
Food was excellent and breakfast was perfect served by Chris a lovely guy who cooked it to perfection.
Every staff member was polite
We will be back Red Lion thank you

We stayed at the rad lion at the weekend.
Room was lovely and clean, attention to detail on all aspects
The staff was very attentive throughout our stay from the greeting on arrival to the room fresh up, and a very friendly goodbye
Breakfast was outstanding
Already booked out return in autumn
10 out of 10 all round 😊
